GREEN BURST
Breathe regularly and deeply, relax and gaze at the picture as you meditate.

So you tell me that just when you get into a nice meditative state, up comes a thought like, “I wonder what the children are doing?” Don’t knock yourself about the head. This happens to all of us. The secret is not to dwell on this thought, but just let it come in one side of your brain and go right back out the other side. Let the internal Watcher see the intruding thoughts come and go. Don’t hold the thought either by concentrating on it, or trying not to think it. Did you ever try to keep from thinking about a pink elephant? It’s impossible. Just see the pink elephant come in one side and go out the other. In other words, when your mind wanders, just acknowledge that it has, and bring it back to the object of focus. You might want to make a deal with your brain. Tell it that you will concentrate on all the problems as soon as you finish your meditation if it will leave you alone for a few minutes.
