ORANGE SWIRL

Breathe regularly and deeply, relax and gaze at the picture as you meditate.

Many people use fractional relaxation to ease their mind and relax their body for meditation. Just get comfortable and then tell each of your body parts, starting with our toes and ending with the crown of your head to relax.  Instruct each part in turn to loosen its muscles and relax.  When you reach the top of the head, imagine a wave of relaxation beginning at your feet and washing up and over your body leaving you refreshed and relaxed.  Fractional relaxation is a great stress reliever.  Use this kind of language.  “Thanks toes, you have done a good job today, but now I want you to relax.  Just get loose and floppy as rubber bands.  If you have trouble relaxing you might find Instant Calm by Paul Wilson to be of help.
